The OMEGA RD-TEMP datalogger is low cost and easy to operate. It allows monitoring
of temperatures in applications previously restricted due to space or cost requirements. The
RD-TEMP can store up to 1800 measurements as well as start time, interval, and an
optional text block to describe the measurement. The measurement duration can be
adjusted to 31 settings between 15 minutes and 360 days, allowing intervals from 0.5
seconds to 4.8 hours.
The RD-TEMP stores temperatures in EEPROM. Even if the battery is removed
during logging, the data gathered to that point is preserved. The internal lithium cell can
power the logger for up to two years. The unit can be programmed to stop storing data
when full, or "wrap around" by over-writing the oldest data.
Data is downloaded from the logger via an RS-232 interface. Once offloaded, data
may be printed, displayed, or exported in spreadsheet form for Excel or Lotus 1-2-3.
